The Legend of the Rainbow Crow.

Long ago, in the early days of the world, the animals and the birds could all speak the same language. They lived in harmony with one another and the earth. However, one day a great fire broke out, and it burned through the forests and the fields, destroying everything in its path.
The animals and the birds were terrified and didn’t know what to do. They gathered together and decided to send the bravest and strongest among them to the Creator to ask for help. After much discussion, they chose Rainbow Crow, the most beautiful bird, with feathers of every color of the rainbow.
Rainbow Crow flew up to the Creator, but the journey was long and treacherous, and the heat from the fire was intense. By the time Rainbow Crow reached the Creator, his once-beautiful feathers were blackened and sooty, and his throat was raw from the smoke.
The Creator listened to Rainbow Crow’s plea for help and gave him a burning ember from the great fire. He told Rainbow Crow to take it back to earth and use it to start a new fire. But Rainbow Crow knew that if he carried the burning ember in his beak, his beautiful voice would be destroyed forever.
Despite this, Rainbow Crow took the ember in his beak and flew back down to earth. The journey was even harder this time, and by the time he reached the earth, his once-beautiful voice was gone, replaced by a harsh caw.
Rainbow Crow used the ember to start a new fire, and the animals and the birds were saved. But Rainbow Crow was forever changed. He could no longer sing the beautiful songs that he once had, and his once-beautiful feathers were now black.
However, the other animals and birds saw the sacrifice that Rainbow Crow had made for them, and they realized that he was still the most beautiful and noble of all the creatures. They honored him for his selflessness and his bravery, and from that day on, Rainbow Crow was known as a hero and a legend.
And whenever the animals and the birds saw a rainbow in the sky, they knew that it was a sign of Rainbow Crow’s sacrifice and the power of compassion.
