The Greedy Dog
The Greedy Dog
Once upon a time, there was a dog who was always hungry and never satisfied with what he had. One day, he was wandering around the streets when he saw a big piece of meat in the mouth of another dog. The greedy dog wanted that meat for himself, so he started barking and chasing the other dog.
As he was running, he looked down into the water and saw his own reflection. He thought it was another dog who had a bigger piece of meat than the one he was chasing. Without thinking, he jumped into the water to grab the meat from the other dog.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, the meat he had been carrying fell into the water, and he lost it forever. The greedy dog realized his mistake and felt ashamed of his foolishness. He had lost his own piece of meat by trying to snatch someone else’s.
From that day on, the greedy dog learned to be content with what he had and not to chase after things that didn’t belong to him. He lived a happier life, and his owners were pleased to see that he had changed his ways. The moral of the story is that greediness can lead to loss and that contentment is the key to happiness.
