The Wise Queen

Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom, there was a queen who was known for her wisdom and intelligence. She was loved and respected by all her subjects, and her kingdom flourished under her rule.
One day, a young peasant came to the queen seeking her help. He had a dispute with his neighbor over a piece of land, and he was unsure of what to do. The queen listened patiently to his story and then asked him to come back the next day.
The next day, the queen summoned the peasant and his neighbor to her court. She listened carefully to both sides of the story and then gave her verdict. The land was to be divided equally between the two, with each getting half of the disputed piece.
The peasant was happy with the verdict, but his neighbor was not. He felt that he deserved more than half the land since he had been using it for many years. He decided to appeal to the king, hoping to get a better deal.
The king listened to the neighbor’s story and then asked the queen for her opinion. The queen replied calmly, “Your Majesty, I have given my verdict, and I stand by it. I believe that it is fair and just. If you overrule my decision, it will set a bad precedent, and people will lose faith in the justice system.”
The king was impressed by the queen’s wisdom and integrity. He agreed with her verdict and praised her for her wise counsel. From that day on, the queen’s reputation as a wise and just ruler grew even stronger, and she became known as the wise queen.
And so, the kingdom continued to prosper under the wise and just rule of the queen, and her people lived happily ever after.
