The Greedy Hyena
The Greedy Hyena
Once upon a time, in the heart of the African savannah, lived a greedy hyena named Hogo. Hogo was known throughout the land for his insatiable hunger and his selfish ways. He would often steal food from other animals and hoard it all for himself, never sharing with anyone else.
One day, Hogo stumbled upon a herd of zebras grazing in a nearby field. His mouth watered as he watched them munch on the sweet grass. He knew he had to have some of that delicious food for himself. So, he crept up to the edge of the field and waited for his chance to strike.
As the zebras continued to graze, Hogo pounced on one of them and dragged it away, leaving the rest of the herd in a panic. He devoured the entire zebra in one sitting, feeling satisfied and full for the first time in a long time.
But Hogo’s greed was not satisfied yet. He wanted more and more, and soon he began to prey on other animals in the savannah. He stole from the lions, the elephants, and even the birds in the sky. He became so obsessed with his own hunger that he forgot about the needs of others.
One day, Hogo came across a group of hyenas who were sharing a meal together. They invited him to join them, but Hogo refused, preferring to hunt for his own food. The other hyenas warned him about the dangers of being greedy, but Hogo didn’t listen.
As time went on, Hogo’s greed grew stronger and stronger. He became so obsessed with food that he stopped caring about anything else. He was no longer welcome among his own kind, and he was shunned by all the other animals in the savannah.
In the end, Hogo’s greed led to his downfall. He became so consumed by his own hunger that he forgot about the importance of community and sharing. He lived the rest of his days alone, hungry, and miserable, a warning to all who would let their greed consume them.
